New Rally Vehicles Undergo Development Testing
Ahead of the 2027 Dakar Rally

Issue #20:October 16, 2026

TLC continues to advance vehicle development and team strengthening through development testing. This time, testing was conducted through participation in Baja Morocco 2026 and Rally of Morocco 2026, using the Land Cruiser Stock Class vehicles currently under development for the 2027 Dakar Rally.

During the development testing, TLC evaluated the updated vehicles in conditions very similar to those of the Dakar Rally itself, gaining important insights for the 2027 Dakar Rally. In addition, participation in the Baja Morocco and the Rally of Morocco provided opportunities not only to verify vehicle performance under competitive conditions, but also for the drivers, navigators, and mechanics to gain valuable race experience, contributing to further improvements in team capability. During these activities, Christian Lavieille and Yasir Seaidan completed extensive mileage in the test vehicles and shared their impressions as preparations for the Dakar Rally continue.

Comments from Driver Christian Lavieille
The Morocco Rally proved to be a highly valuable event for advancing our development and preparations for the Dakar Rally. By confirming the improvements and seeing the vehicle's potential, we learned a great deal in a demanding environment. While we also uncovered some issues, the direction we need to pursue is now clear. Thanks to the efforts of everyone involved, I feel we have made tangible progress. We will incorporate the knowledge gained from this experience into our development activities and continue our preparations for the Dakar Rally. I would like to thank everyone who supports us, as well as the entire team for their hard work throughout the event.

Comments from Driver Yasir Seaidan
During this test program and the Rally of Morocco, I drove the Land Cruiser 300 rally vehicle for the first time. I had the opportunity to drive both the previous specification and the updated version, and I could clearly feel how much the vehicle has improved. I feel it is ready for some serious action at the 2027 Dakar Rally.

Together with navigator Jean-Michel Polato, with whom I partnered for the first time, we maintained strong communication and approached the rally with great respect throughout the event. We were able to win the final stage, and together with our overall result of second place in class, I am very encouraged by our achievements in this rally.

With just three months remaining until the start of the 2027 Dakar Rally, TLC will incorporate the lessons learned from these activities into its development program and continue its final preparations for the rally. As always, TLC thanks you for your unwavering support!
